  • Day 1 of Succé Cup in Norway

Right now I’m laying on my air mattress after Day 1 of Succé Cup in Norway. The race yesterday was awesome and I managed to win my three qualification heats even though I did too many mistakes in this tricky track in Moss.

In the finale, I chose to stand beside the Pål Grotnes at the gate, the favorite who always wins 🙂 My goal was to follow his track and take the 2nd place. Right after the gate dropped the guy beside me, Kjell Nordmark, turned to my side and blocked me in the starting hill. Upset and back in the field I got the 3rd spot out of the first corner and to the back of Nordmark. In second corner I found some extra speed and made a clean blockpass on him and was 2nd in to the finish line! It was the best position I could get today so I’m totally satisfied with that, but again, my technique under stress is wacko! You can see it all in the final video above.

Now I will go prepare myself for day 2 at Råde!

  • For the upcoming races

Have had a bit of a hard time with my body but now I’m starting to recover from what ever it has been.

Today I had a nice session at the track and I felt that my starts were really working. This is great for the upcoming races in Norway this weekend, three days, three tracks, three races… til then I will rest, eat and plan my racing strategi!

  • Gearing up

Have had a tough week in which the body has felt completely burnt out,   probably some infection or similar. I have not been on the track all week and only been training at the gym and some sprints. I will increase my vitamin and protein intake next week and see if that helps. I’m gearing up for a day at the track on Tuesday, whatever happens 🙂

  • Need to focus!

Gym and riding technique has been on the schedule this week. Work out went awesome but riding wasn’t like I wanted it to be, need to focus!

Today the bike is up for a treat!

  • Day 2

Day 2 went well and I did my best but it wasn’t enough though, the Danish crew was to good and I finished 2th in B final. I need to train harder 🙂

After the races, the Swedish crew went to another track in Hadsund, Dragon BMX for a session. The track was awesome and had a lot of fun things to ride some of which you’ll see in the video above.

  • Day 1: First race of the year is done and I’m really impressed

First race of the year is done and I’m really impressed with the cruiser elite scene in Denmark, they were as good as I had thought!

The day started with 3 heats where the top 4 riders would qualify to the finals. I was 4 4 3 in my heats and I was the most proud of the last heat. I jumped a double that I never thought I would do and had a good flow through the track.

In the finals I had a good start but managed to land to short on one of the doubles and  lost all speed and I was dead last. After that I tried to get back but made to many mistakes, so I finished 8th. Overall I’m satisfied and for me to progress and get up to 5th place will take a clean good lap without mistakes. We’ll see what happens tomorrow on race day 2!

  • Just arrived at the hotel in Denmark

Just arrived at the hotel in Denmark with Hannes Dewrang and now it’s time to get some beauty sleep because tomorrow is race day!

  • 2 days to go until the first race

2 days to go until the first race of the year in Storvorde (Denmark) and the lineup seems awesome! My goal this weekend is to finish top 8, so we will see how it goes…

  • Team training today

Team training today with Björn and Thomas. First we met up at Kungsbacka for a 2h warm-up session including all kind of riding 🙂 Then after a lunch at a commercial burger chain we went to the new build track in Lerum and tried that track out. When we arrived we were already tired but the riding and the track were incredibly fun even though the track were under construction. Björn did the best line of the day with a dubble manual to a dubble jump right after, really clean. Need to learn that double manual thing someday…  🙂
