  • Between life and training

This week I have been training by myself a lot to save time between life and training. I’ve mostly been riding my bike and I feel that I’m more solid with my bike now 🙂 When I was at the track this Saturday it felt awesome, I had flow, technique and pure riding love. It came over me how pleased I am with the patience I have had the last two years when I haven’t stressed my self in my riding progression, just have done it in my own pace.

  • Winning round 6 of Swe Cup

I ended up winning round 6 of Swe Cup on Sunday and secured the overall victory in the cup, I’m so excited! The long-awaited gold plate now has a place waiting when the Cup is finished. My body was sorer than usual today and I went into the gate several times making tiny mistakes, clearly aware of Saturdays’ races. Not until I got to the second turn I finally got some well needed energy for the rest of the race.

Now I will recharge for the next races in Malmö in two weeks and the last races of Swe Cup. Got a question by Daniel Bergström on the track on how to train to pedal faster … Tough question but I spontaneously answered more cycling (even if it’s not on a track). Working out at the gym make you stronger and pedaling make you faster. It’s tricky, individual and again a tough question that I also want to find formula for 🙂

  • Suunto Ambit3 Peak Black (HR)

    I’m with Suunto Ambit3!

Yes, I purchased the new Suunto Ambit3 Peak Black (HR) watch which was released this Monday, the watch wil matche my bike perfectly! I will make the first race with it this weekends’ Swe Cup in Hallstavik. Will be fun to get all that data, speed, cadence and heart rate. Will make a review when I’ve tested it fully in bmx, gym and running. Love it!

  • Next weekend it’s time for Swe Cup again

This week I’ve been training as usual, 50/50 work out and bmx. Had a good session with my bike on thursday’s training, felt that my flow is really approving and I’m staying closer to the ground. Next weekend it’s time for Swe Cup again, this time in Hallstavik, I’m longing.

The photo above is shot by Daniel Lilja and is showing me in the lead in Saturday’s race in Ängelholm.

  • Sunday race recap

Swe Cup round 4 – Sunday race recap:

The gate dropped and the start was weaker than before (people said) or Kai was just faster! We struggled side by side til the last jump on the first straight where I missed out on one pedal stroke and Kai got ahead and turned in in front of my wheel and we touched and I had to break. After that I tried to get up to speed on the second straight but didn’t get any flow until the third straight where I got closer to him but it wasn’t enough. 2nd today after Kai, he was so worth it, nice and hard pass! Overall I’m satisfied with the weekend and it was really fun. Now it’s time to focus on the next race, train, train, train, wiiie!

  • Oatmeal and protein

Up early and prepping with oatmeal and protein for this weekends last race here in Engelholm, Swe Cup round 4.

Everything feels good so far and I have cravings for my bike right now 🙂 Above is a movie from yesterday’s final that already uploaded on youtube of Bmx Sweden’s Michael Jonsson, a real driving spirit that filming every race!

  • Ended with a victory

Today was round 3 of Swe Cup and it ended with a victory

They merged the cruiser classes today and I got extra nervous 🙂

There were two guys that I was curious to ride with. Kai Kantanen a nice and great rider from Finland that I haven’t met before, and Fredrik Källberg that I rode with last year who has gotten much better for this season!

The first three heats went well, I won and I could ride in a decent speed to the finish line! In the final I did a goofy start and I felt Kai’s elbow until the last jump. After that I was able to pull away and win with good margins.

Tomorrow is race 4, I feel the #pep!

OT: Kai had the new Suunto Ambit3 watch and it was really cool to see it live, beautiful as hell! I will  probably get one in September!

  • Garmin Forerunner 305

Borrowed a watch and heart rate monitor Garmin Forerunner 305 for the weekend of my friend Jesper who recently became a father, congrats again buddy.

Driving with the heart rate monitor was really fun and the plan was to determine the resting heart rate, maximum heart rate and see what zones I should be in. So right now I run different workouts to test this. Think I’ll try to get myself  a own watch in the future so that I can check how things are going.

Yes, and now it’s 6 days until the next race which is in Ängelholm, Swe Cup 3 & 4 #pepp #pepp, so for now I will put my body in charge mode.
